Onslaught Block
Onslaught block marks a bunch of milestones in MTG history, but interestingly no one really knew it at the time. It was the last block to use the old card frame, the first block to try a tribal theme, and the block that introduced us to everyone’s favorite format gatekeepers – fetchlands. Legions was the best-selling small-set of all time, likely due to the fact that Timmy loves creatures (especially slivers), and that’s the only thing that set included. This also marked the start of Wizards tacking an ETB effect onto any and every creature.
