Mirage Block
Mirage block introduced the familiar block structure that WOTC followed for nearly 2 decades, finally ending with Khans of Tarkir. Mirage was designed alongside the original playtest that eventually became Alpha and was in development for over 3 years, marking it the longest R&D cycle of any MTG set. It was the first set designed for drafting, and it also introduced us to the Weatherlight saga.
